The Beethoven Foundation Bonn has appointed the 12th Stadtklangkünstler since 2010.
The Beethoven Foundation for Art and Culture of the Federal City of Bonn has appointed the renowned Canadian sound artist Robin Minard as Stadtklangkünstler Bonn 2022. During his artistic research residency in Bonn this year, the 68-year-old will work with the scientists of the Zoological Research Museum Alexander Koenig (ZFMK) as a cooperation partner. He is also part of an artistic-scientific research expedition. Both projects will result in sound art works on site following the journey.
From 2010 to 2019, the Beethoven Foundation Bonn had already appointed renowned sound artists as city sound artists within its sound art project “bonn hoeren”. Now the sustainable work of “bonn hoeren” forms the basis for the new sound art project “echoes – soundforum bonn 2022”.
