On Thursday, June 6, 2024, 7.30 pm, “echoes – soundforum bonn 2024” invites to a discussion with Bonn 2024 City Sound Artist Miki Yui, Bonn 2024 City Sound Artist Stefan Schneider and Prof. Dr. Jens Gerrit Papenburg, Department of Musicology / Sound Studies at the University of Bonn in the project space Leerstand als Begegnungsraum at Brüdergasse 4, 53111 Bonn. The evening will be moderated by Raoul Mörchen.
For the first time, the Bonn City Sound Artists appointed by the Beethoven Foundation for Art and Culture of the Federal City of Bonn for 2024 will present their artistic work to date in a public presentation and report on their one-month research trip to the Bonn project partner city Cape Coast in Ghana in February 2024. Prior to their research on the topic of “Sound in Communities” there, a project seminar on the same topic was already held at the University of Bonn in the winter semester 2023/2024.
